This is my submission for *Lucky978
's contest for hybrid creatures. It is a female dragon/faerie hybrid. The wings, however, are not the only hybrid feature. I tried to give this dragon more elegance and grace than I usually would, also making the eye slightly more angled. This is about 5 1/2 by 4 inches. It was made with a bandsaw, scroll saw, five acrylic paints, a bottle of sparkle nail polish(XD Guilty...), two kinds of sandpaper, a dremel, a 12/0 paintbrush, and an 18/0 paintbrush. Took a grand total of eight or nine hours to make. Two hours to cut it out, two hours of sanding, ten minutes with the dremel, and so many hours of painting and retouching. O_O It's made of balsa wood. Three thin planks forced together into one, to be exact. Extremely time consuming, but I enjoyed making this greatly.
This is my original work. Please do not use this image or take my ideas without permission or telling me first.
You can't tell, but I put a bevel(rounded edge) on this, so it's smooth to the touch . . . though you can't tell that through a picture!
Another Note. XD
The sides and back are completely black save for my "trademark", which I have done in white on the back. It looks like < 9 with a circle around it. It's really a tilted "L" and a backwards "P", though, for Lauren Peebles. XD
One last note
This is exactly three millimeters thick.
